X-Bow - Warzone

Short and sweet: under the name X-BOW we have a Sweden quartet including front lady, which is throwing out an indie release with the title of “Warzone”. But, three songs with a playing time of 7:43 minutes, who is supposed to buy that? Postage will be more than the whole thing.

Yet the disc still is interesting. At least for the small crowd of undyingly loyal ACID supporters, because singer Lena Goreguts originally sounds like ACID devil Kate. And the music offers the same simple, speedy Metal of the Belgians. Uncomplicated and nice, simply straight from the hip and directly into the neck muscles. A lot of fun, even though the guitar solos sound a bit odd! (Online May 14, 2006)
