The first live album of Christian Metallers SAINT has turned out to be something really special. OK, of SAINT themselves only singer Josh Kramer made it to Germany, the rest of the band was comprised of members of IVORY NIGHT (most Ross The Boss fans will remember Patrick Fuchs and Carsten Kettering from the sixth edition of the Keep It True festival) and ADORNED GRAVES drummer Stefan Lang (when will you finally record your band hymn on CD?). The album was recorded on October 22, 2005, at the Headbanger’s Night festival in Nanzdietschweiler, where the band rocked the masses (cough) before headliner PARAGON.
The guys had lots of fun playing (saw it myself) and offered a first class show and fronter Josh’s voice was in a good shape. Here and there he rasped a bit, but that wasn’t detrimental to the atmosphere at all, but only underlined the 100% live feeling. The only negative aspect is the fade-outs between songs, but I can live with that. Musically every old school Metalhead, and here especially the JUDAS PRIEST community of the late 70s and early 80s, will get what they are waiting for. And who likes authentic live recordings just has to have this one. Heavy Metal Is The Law and this one rules!
It would also be a very good occasion to get acquainted with a great band or you get their second album „Too Late For Living“ right away, because it won’t get any better. Oh, most probably SAINT will play the eighth edition of Keep It True in spring 2007. Attendance is mandatory!!! (Online June 1, 2006)
