Warhammer - Curse Of The Absolute Eclipse
Sometimes it is an (inverted?) cross with the Metal bands. Finally, a cult band of the underground gets a deal with the the big label Nuclear Blast and then the musicians have to come to scratch as strong as they decide to break up the band before the album release. So it happened with the HELLHAMMER revival band WARHAMMER.

"Curse Of The Absolute Eclipse" is the fourth and the last release of the crazy ones, which is orientating strongly on the "Satanic Rites" demo of the legendary Swiss band. I don't know the tape, but I believe that. In every case, it is hellish rough and very brutal. Fast, but not too fast, mostly viscous, very primitive riffs but the riffs are very effective! Fans of some thrashing acts like MASTER, SLAUGHTER or ACHERON should not wait too long and get the album.

Friends of triggered drums and pompous and opulent productions: hands off!!! But it is really produced "heavy as fuck". However, the album is not as easy to get into as the previous record "The Doom Messiah", yet it is really strong!

A notice: One of the songs is calling "The Grave Hill" and that was also the name of the band before HELLHAMMER, which later developed to CELTIC FROST. That was enough in Swiss history and now, one more time: Buy it!!! (Online September 5, 2002)
