Danish people are famous for their integrity but it still appears a bit weird if they want to confront us with “The Naked Truth”. Behind UREAS stands the married couple Johansson and they utilize nearly all given styles in Metal. May it be Prog, Gothic, Power or Nu-Metal – they have no limits. But they also use trashy and pompous elements.

While Heidi tries to evoke some emotions and feelings with her soft voice, her husband Per plays the more aggressive part but both fail in their performance. This is totally harmless and in no way Metal. A song like “Seven Days Weekend” is just too much for me. With rap parts and electronic sounds, it just gets horrible. The same goes for the pseudo ballad “Colour Us Blind”, which is nothing short of crap. The rest is as well such painful and without any inspiration, you just want to puke.

Even the most embarrassing German folk music duo has more power than this duo of boredom. UREAS is just shit. That’s the truth, the naked truth! (Online June 28, 2006)
