Montany - New Born Day
The title of the disc could not ring truer in their eyes. The band has gone through several line up changes and even broke up as well. They are now back and have hired the services of Uwe Lulis to write most of the songs and produce the disc. Uwe was the one time guitarist for GRAVE DIGGER.

MONTANY plays Power Metal in the traditional German style. Lots of up beat double-kick-drumming and catchy guitar-riffing. The guitar licks that are supplied on "Back From The Sky" are fantastic, but the only downfall here is the vocalist. He has an annoying voice that is kind of whinny and gets on my nerves at times.

The musicianship on these tracks is rather quite compelling and do have a future in the biz, but the only thing holding them back is a really good vocalist. The music overall gets an A+, but the vocals get a D. Sorry!
