Well, it's really the mini-CD season at Hammerheart right now. A few days ago, the mini-CDs of DANSE MACABRE and SEVERE TORTURE have just been released, and now it's the turn of the Norwegian Death Metallers from BLOOD RED THRONE.
Here you go for six tracks of brutal and aggressive Death Metal that will destroy your ears, but if you really look at it, as there's only one brand new track on it, that's only 16.66% of pure novelty, which is not so good. In fact, the three tracks of the demo "Deathmix 2000", as well as the tracks "Monument Of Death" and "Malignant Nothingness", already appear on the full length album "Monument Of Death", sure with a different sound and a different line-up, but they're still played the same way.
So, only the cover of MASSACRE's "Cryptic Realms" appears for the first time on CD… As I said, that's not so great, even if musically speaking that's worth some good old DEICIDE, "Legion"-era! So I don't really see the point of buying "A Taste For Blood", if you already own "Monument Of Death", unless of course if you like to have twice the same tracks with a different artwork.
