Fraze Gang - s/t

To be honest, I didnít know anything like this existed in Canada. FRAZE GANG are mix of Rock n Roll styles (Party, Arena and Southern Rock are the most prominent). This stuff might have found a following in the 80s, but Iím not sure who FRAZE GANG are trying to appeal to now.

The CD sounds good sonically and thereís nothing wrong with the band or their abilities, but the album just sounds, well, stale. I know that pretty negative, but when there are releases coming out everyday in the Hard Rock genre that take the sound of the 80s and make it fresh (see the newest HOUSE OF LORDS), I fail to see the point of this release. I canít even see a label like Frontiers Records, which specializes in this genre, giving FRAZE GANG much of a chance, simply because there are many far more exciting groups out there.

I could see FRAZE GANG being a big hit at area biker bars and local fairs, but not much more than that. Sorry guys, but when playing such a dated style of music, you have to do far better than this to stand out.
