Thunderstone - s/t
THUNDERSTONE also come from Finland and will bring all STRATOVARIUS- and SONATA ARCTICA-fans an erection to the throat. They have damn strong song-material and just sound fresh and energizing. Something that at least the first ones mentioned definitively do lack.

And when I say STRATOVARIUS, then their masterpieces like "Fourth Dimension" or "Episode", in the same vein we now get "Thunderstone". Another plus, apart from the perfect production, are the mid-pitched vocals of Pasi Rantanen. Sounds a lot better than many of his colleagues of the "Happy Metal"-genre. While I would not really like to use the term "Metal" with THUNDERSTONE. Rather not Metal, more melodic Hard Rock made in Scandinavia.

Here epic, there fast, then balladesque, nothing new and I think that that STRATOVARIUS/SONATA ARCTICA-thing really hits it best! (Online July 31, 2002)
