Technical Death Metal from USA? Here are VEHEMENCE and serve you a big portion of blasting Death! OK, it's not that bad, because they are not one of the dumb pure-blasts. They put quite some emphasis on demanding instrumentation and quite some variation.

Unfortunately the material sounds too overblown to me and the songs do not really grip me. Single passages are really good, but that is just not enough to stand out in the over-full Death Metal-genre. The sick lyrics cannot change anything on that either.

Genre-fans will most probably revere and celebrate VEHEMENCE, they can do so - I rather take the new VADER, they at least write real songs! (Online August 2, 2002)
