Leyton, Neil - Betrayal Of The Self

During the nineties, Neil Leyton was the vocalist of Glam Rockers THE CONSCIENCE PILATE, and later on played bass for the Psychedelic Art Rock band PASSION'D FLOWER. I'm not familiar with either of these bands, but Neil's output on his tenth (!) solo release is anything but bland. Be it Punk Rock, Glam, Retro Rock or ballads -- his songwriting seems equally talented in all regards, for there is no filler here. If you'd like to hear some good, handmade Rock music again, without any real consideration for genre limitations and a truly fun attitude, you can't go wrong with this. Don't skip over the lyrics either, because Mr Leyton's got something to say, too!
