LINES OF LEAVING started the band with a very noble cause. They want to be the “voice of the feeble”, bring awareness to human suffering, etc. Furthermore, all sales of this single will be going to a charity, Vailla Vakituista Asuntoa Ry, whose goal is to diminish discrimination against the homeless. The band has some very benign intentions.

The problem with this single is that I wouldn’t listen to it for free, so I wouldn’t even think of shelling out any money for it. It’s just too derivative of modern Rock and it is watered down for radio and mass consumption. The worst part of the single is that the first 10 seconds of this single are the best musical moment. It’s this dark foreboding riff, which segues into something very Pop-Punk-ish. The vocals are also very weak, lacking any conviction and almost catatonic.

LINES OF LEAVING does have its heart in the right place, but if they want to make a difference in the long run, they have to improve. VASTLY.
