Intruder - A Higher Form Of Killing
INTRUDER from the USA are an absolutely secret tip. I don't talk about the Hard Rock band of the same name, which is still existing. These INTRUDER are from Nashville, Tennessee and they play a good mixture of Power Metal and Thrash Metal. The songs are all very fast and very diversified.

The songs are MAINLY over the 6 minutes mark and they still set free merciless power. This is the second record of them, 1989, and it is also their best one. Their debut "Live To Die" and album three "Psycho Savant" are also proved tips to buy but I doubt that one can find the debut on CD. Even this one was hard to find but sometimes one can find it at markets or at well-organised shops.

This is almost a rejoice for every OVERKILL/HEATHEN fan. Furthermore, INTRUDER have got one of the best Thrash shouters ever: James Hamilton, someone you recognize to 100%. His snotty voice is perfect to cry out frustration.

But he is more in the tradition of shouters like Blitz (OVERKILL) or Russ Anderson (FORBIDDEN) and not in the rough tradition of DARK ANGEL or SLAYER. (Online September 20, 2002)
