Bywar - Invincible War
At the "Bang Your Head" festival 2002, I was looking for some old pearls at the Metal market and rested also at the Undercover Records' shop (Black/Death Metal). The guys had a CD-player, so I could listen to some stuff, which I would have never bought, stuff like the Brazilians of BYWAR with their CD "Invincible War".

I don't have to say a lot, it offers you perfect Old-School stuff, German Thrash Metal in their foundation years; I think DESTRUCTION and their "Sentence Of Death/Infernal Overkill" records are surely the biggest influence for them.

BYWAR are as less perfectly as the originals, but they play as passionate and unleashed as Schmier and Co. and they are able to bring back the spirit of the 80s. Also the production is very 80s-like, maybe more clear than DESTRUCTION.

This album lives and has a soul, I swear it!!! Watch the cover artwork - a demon with a horned helmet beats with his axe three attacking zombies. Looks like KREATOR's "Pleasure To Kill" for homeless people, but it's ok.

Everybody, who likes fast, simple and catchy Thrash songs and especially likes the formerly mentioned bands, should buy it. (Online October 11, 2002)
