Hey, what is this? A cool bastard from CARCASS ("Swansong"-times) and CHILDREN OF BODOM reaches my ear and grips me from the start. Cool licks, shrieky vocals, high speed, that's something for the master! Of course they're from Finland, logically! Didn't know THRONE OF CHAOS before, the name rather hinted at a Crust/Grind-band. Anyway, they sound quite a bit like the CHILDREN of the Lake Bodom, but are a good bit heavier! Very impressive what they are firing out on melodic leads.
Sometimes they're quite bombastic due to the keyboards and then reminds me of acts like RHAPSODY/STRATOVARIUS. Still the whole album goes straight ahead and the songs are just energetic. Respect! The few blastbeats are just cool! With many ideas and superb production there is no real reason not to praise this album. Secret tip! (Online November 13, 2002)
