Wasteland - Do Or Die

Am I supposed to take this lot seriously? The first two tracks are AC/DC rip offs. There are influences and then there’s plain theft. WASTELAND falls into the latter. Sure the tracks are prime time Bon Scott but they are taking the piss surely. Just who or what do they hope to achieve by blatantly ripping off one of Rocks most revered bands. And it gets worse. ‘’Call Of The Wild’’ sounds like a bad cover version of any JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP song. ‘’Never Come Back’’ manages to appeal about as much as organising a POISON and STRYPER joint headlining world tour. And then we’re back to AC/DC on ‘’Kiev Calling’’. There’s a pattern immerging here. However ‘’Break Down The Chains’’ breaks the envelope by sounding like a very poor THIN LIZZY and STATUS QUO. WASTELAND is hugely and originally bad. Then pops up a cover of ‘’Ballroom Blitz’’…

If there wasn’t a band as massive as AC/DC then WASTELAND might mean something. There is and they don’t. Forget it.
