"Trading Pieces" is the second DEEDS OF FLESH album, which was spawned in the year 1995. When the last copies of this album sold out, record label Unique Leader took the chance to remaster and re-release this album, just like was done with 1997 album "Inbreeding The Anthropophagi".
Musically there is no other description than brutal Death Metal for DEEDS OF FLESH. Musically there are no bad remarks, the grunts are excellent, the music is mostly high pace, with some slower threatening passages. When I compare "Trading Pieces" to the previous review I did of DEEDS OF FLESH (see "Inbreeding The Anthropophagi"), there are no significant differences. Although there is 2 years difference, the music did not change all that much, and both albums have been remastered perfectly! The music on "Trading Pieces" is slightly better than the previously mentioned album, mainly cause the opening track ("Carnivorous Ways") is better on "Trading Pieces", which often changes the overall perspectives on an album. Pick any track on the album to check out, it's all good!
With DEEDS OF FLESH you know to expect, unrelenting devastating Death Metal. Both albums I heard by them are killer records and I recommend this band to the Brutal Death Metalheads, if they have committed the sin of not hearing this wicked band before! (Online November 19, 2002)
