Blood Ceremony - s/t

I just digested the divine album of THE DEVIL’S BLOOD and I have the next killer in Occult Rock: BLOOD CEREMONY from Canada is around. They sound “retro”, but just like the exceptional Dutch band they know exactly how to evolve old music in 2008 and give it a modern sound without just copying. So much that it also makes people giddy, who normally just shrug their shoulders when they hear “retro” or “Seventies”.

BLOOD CEREMONY combine the Doom of BLACK SABBATH/PENTAGRAM with JETHRO TULL-like German flute parts and the psychedelic side of COVEN or BLACK WIDOW into a very tasty concoction and they also have a female singer that adds her very own flair with her slightly cold voice. Everything sounds so ingenious and playful, with an immense attention to detail, so that any music fan that doesn’t care about genres and categories will find a new cult band, want to bet?
