After two demos in 2004 and 2006 and a split CD with BLOOD EXILE SACRILEGIO now make their way into the limelight with their first full album. Most songs of the split have been released here, too. Some Metalheads may now guitarist Daniel Ortiz from his other band DANTESCO, but SACRILEGIO play a completely different kind of Heavy Metal.

SACRILEGIO favour typical Power Metal of the American kind. The eleven songs of the debut are mostly upbeat like a storm. The guys can play, no question and take no prisoners from the get go. But some songs lack some polish and the right hooks, but the songs all are on the same level and if you invest some time also will be very enjoyable. Unfortunately the album lacks the real highflyer, “Lepanto” would come the closest to this. A really great power cracker that should appeal to fans of less heavy TESTAMENT and colleagues. From this song on the CD is picking up speed and doesn’t only challenge the neck muscles, but also the brain.

For a debut the album has turned out quite good even though not all that glitters is gold yet. But who likes bands such as ATTACKER, METAL CHURCH, RAVAGE or AMULANCE, will also enjoy this album. You will get fast and wild wrecking balls as well as a rough singer and a powerful, but never overdone production. This is still music with heart and soul.
