I really would never have expected this to come from Peaceville, because SHIP OF FOLLS are very spacey and dreamy Rock, almost exclusively instrumental, which is so different than what we normally get.

65 minutes of pure atmosphere, like a slowly flowing river, the perfect soundtrack for a quiet evening with candlelight, to cuddle, if consumed in larger amounts maybe also to fall asleep to (in a good way), very calm and tranquil and melodic, sometimes reminding me a bit of PINK FLOYD.

So definitely nothing for headbangers, but for a relaxed listen SHIP OF FOOLS are just the right thing to get, even though (or maybe because) all songs kind of flow into each other… This is almost mind-expanding… (Online January 26, 2003)
