Dragonlord - Rapture
Holy shit, what a killer! The name somehow has misled me, I'd have rather thought them to be a True Metal-combo! Here you will get a majestic mixture of Black Metal and Thrash, it is fear-inspiring how much power you can find in here.

You hear that there are old hands at work, because DRAGONLORD are the "baby" of Eric Peterson (TESTAMENT), Steve Giorgio (CYNIC), former SADUS-drummer Jon Allen, TESTAMENT-tour-guitarist Steve Smyth and the yet-unknown keyboarder Lyle Livingston. And what they are celebrating in a little more than a half-hour is a sidereal hour of extreme Metal. Even though you can detect a few parallels to the last DIMMU BORGIR, DRAGONLORD sound a little more extreme, especially in the sometimes furious parts.

The technical, but incredibly fast drumming is highest level! Eric has taken over the vocals and I think that he has a brilliant voice for dark music! And add to that a few clean vocal-parts as well. You'll get lots of variability, if I think of older SADUS-albums!

The seven songs all are top-notch and cover their subtlety without sounding weird! This way Metal is fun again! A true killer-band! A killer-production! I am absolutely enthusiastic!
