Here we go again. Another super group band formed by ex-HELLOWEEN members Roland Grapow and Uli Kusch and enlist the great vocalist that comes in the form of Jorn Lande. God damn! This is kick ass. I am such a sucker for killer Power Metal. Ok, it's a little happy sounding in the music, but these guys have their shit together and play with power. Jorn's vocals just steal the show. Don't worry, Roland's guitar playing and Uli's power drumming along with the awesome keyboard work don't play second fiddle to Jorn's powerful voice. They are all power players.

"Spirit Never Die" shows just what these guys can do. Right from the start, the boys just let it go and play with precision and passion. Do me a favour and don't ask me which track is the best because they all just rock. What I like here is not only do they change up the tempos on each track, but they can be dark one minute and then be sort of happy the next. Out of all the ex-members of HELLOWEEN, GAMMA RAY may be the most successful and popular, but I think MASTERPLAN could crush the hell out of them. No offence Kai.

While the band may not possibly have the money to add orchestration or make their sound more epic/Hollywood like STRATOVARIUS and Rhapsody, this band could give them a run for the money, so watch out!!! (Online October 1, 2003)
