The story of COASTLAND RIDE is an interesting one in that the band was essentially created as a guinea pig for production experiments. In 1997, keyboardist/guitarist Mikael Bohlin became interested in music production, and asked two longtime friends, Anders Rybank (guitar/bass/keys) and Markus Nordenberg (vocals) to help him form a new band that he could test his burgeoning production knowledge on. The group eventually released their self-titled debut album in 2003, and after eight more years of practice, Bohlin's production skills were polished enough to land the band a record deal. "On Top Of The World" is COASTLAND RIDE's first album with German label Avenue Of Allies, and though it's only the band's second album, it's backed by a hell of a lot of experience.
