Flotsam & Jetsam - Doomsday For The Deceiver
One of the 10 best US Power Metal albums of all times is the debut of FLOTSAM & JETSAM, "Doomsday For The Deceiver". Albums like this should bring every true Heavy Metal fan a big erection.

Such great songs as they can be found here on this one album 90% of all bands won't be able to create in their whole career, not even remotely. No matter, if it is songs like the furious "Hammerhead", the mightily rocking "Iron Tears", "Doomsday For The Deceiver", beginning with acoustical guitars, then rising into the highest of highs, oozing with genius and grip, the demo breaker "Metalshock", "She Took An Axe" with its brilliant riffs or the anti nazi attack "Der Führer", or… on this album every riff, every note, every sound, every melody fits perfectly.

Crowned by passionate vocals of Erik A.K. the CD continues to soar with every repeated listen. You definitely cannot make Power/Speed Metal any better. So much talent, of course, doesn't remain a secret, so after the death of Cliff Burton METALLICA signed up the bassist of FLOTSAM & JETSAM (now what was his name again?). The rest is history.
