Carnal Forge - The More You Suffer
I don't know what they put in the water in Sweden, but whatever it is send it over to America. Our bands need it band. Not only that, but our so called Metal bands here need a swift kick in the balls from this band.

This is how Thrash is played. SLAYER may have paved the way in the beginning, but it's guys like AT THE GATES and CARNAL FORGE that take it to soaring new heights that would not have been thought of years ago. Fast, furious, angry and played well is the key to their success here. Each track is just brewing with aggression that is waiting to be let out and heard. These boys don't fuck around. They are the real deal.

It's addicting and makes me want to play air drums and air guitar at a moments notice while I pretend that I have long hair so I can do windmills. The twin guitar interaction is just nuts. They mesh really well. This is catchy with tinges of melody and hooks that grab you immediately. Once you pop this in, you will not want to leave your stereo until this is done and then you will hit repeat. Everything that you could want and wish for in a true Thrash Metal album is here.

The band takes no prisoners and make no compromises. "The More You Suffer"...The more you will enjoy it. (Online June 23, 2003)
