Summon - And The Blood Runs Black
SUMMON is one of the oldest Black Metal bands from the US, and though they have already released five albums, they're not so well-known here… Still, considering the quality of "And The Blood Runs Black", it should quickly change! Yeah, this album is a real bomb that will leave your horrid flesh full of shrapnels.

SUMMON are playing Black Metal, but the first references that will immediately come to mind are mostly SODOM, ANGEL CORPSE and KRISIUN, because guitaristically speaking they are very old-Thrash oriented, and rhythmically speaking, they are furious as in Death Metal bands. And with the vokillz, some intonations will make you think of some kind of Dani trying to sing with a virile voice…

Else, it's simply blasting all along the album, and can only make you headbang like fucking maniacs, or at least raise your fist into the air until you break your bones! Very good shit then, with a great cover of VENOM's "Buried Alive"… consume without any moderation! (Online May 6, 2003)
