Skyfire - Mind Revolution
Already two years ago, "Timeless Departure", the first album of this bunch of young Swedish guys, had been able to convince quite many people, with its huge mix of symphonic Heavy Metal and extreme Metal. They had even been compared to CHILDREN OF BODOM and co, which isn't nothing…

And now they are back with "Mind Revolution", an album in which they use the same recipe, but by taking over where they had stopped with "Timeless Departure": it's more clever and thought about, and also heavier, maybe also more symphonic, and the comparison that comes to my mind isn't CHILDREN OF BODOM, but mainly STRATOVARIUS. A kind of STRATOVARIUS with balls and that would for sure listen to some Black Metal, sure, but still some kind of STRATOVARIUS.

The amateurs of melodies and guitar wanking will then be completely pleased, but for the ones who don't think that 'melody' rhymes with Metal, they'll do like me and get back to their MEATSHITS or ANAAL NATHRAKH albums! (Online May 5, 2003)
