Behind that unprounonceable name stands a young Polish band, that just releases here its first album, after three demos that are impossible to find. And contrary to what we are used to get from this fine Italian label, "Behind The Curtain" is not a Black Metal album, nor even should be considered as a Metal album.
Avantgarde even really deserve their name here, by releasing this completely mutant and weird album, that maybe shows us how extreme music will be in the next years: some kind of cyber-indus tainted of classical music, Metal, and pop touches, not really easy to get in of course, but still plainly interesting. STROMHOUSSHELD are then in some way the creators of a new style, even if they didn't invent anything new as such… but that's still quite a lot nowadays.
Only one reproach, and not that small: the tracks are way too long, which causes them to lose part of their potential impact. Still, a good band to keep an eye on! (Online May 25, 2003)
