Nothing new in Swabian country! The new BRAINSTORM disc is strong as expected. It seems to be so easy for this band to create one masterpiece after another... who liked the predecessor "Metus Mortis" will also love "Soul Temptation". All attributes of the predecessor are represented again and their strong points have improved.
The vocals of Andy are again a class of its own and the instrumental effort phantasmagorical! Also the songs itself are great - a crusher like "To The Heads" or the pretty catchy "The Leading" are outstanding. But my favourite is the threepart epic "The Trinity Of Lust", which should also please Prog fans with its oriental approach! But it's too bad, that all songs of my promotion CD "fade out". The guys at Metal Blade seem to be very clever. They know, that if you have just the foretaste of it, you can't do anything other than to buy it, too.
I'm very anxious to listen to the Tony Christie cover "Amarillo". Furthermore the limited edition will contain a DVD of a live performance (Summer Breeze 2002).
Now convinced? (Online July 6, 2003)
