Sweden seems to work on a gigantic Thrash-revival, because so many bands coming from there of late remind me a lot of the Eighties: THE HAUNTED, DARKANE, TERROR 2000, CARNAL FORGE... And they're not done yet...
Alright, CARNAL FORGE play Thrash, real Thrash, hard, heavy, sometimes with really crass vocals, but also with much power and thundering riffs. As some might already know, I am not really the biggest Thrash-fan alive, but still I've been surprised by what sounds came out of my speakers after putting in "Firedemon" for the first time. After surviving the neck-breaking Thrasher "Too Much Hell Ain't Enough For Me" without major injuries, "Covered With Fire (I'm Hell)" almost blew me off, between pure Thrash and incredibly powerful mid-tempo-double-bass you really have the feeling that a firedemon might jump out of your stereo any moment.
Fanatics of the all-destroying Ufta-Thrash will find their heaven on earth with grenades like "Too Much Hell Ain't Enough For Me" , "I Smell Like Death (Son Of A Bastard)" or "Defacer", while double-bass-driven riff-thunderstorms like "Cure Of Blasphemy" or the very forceful "Firedemon" show that CARNAL FORGE are more than just youngsters trying to kill their instruments.
Together with the powerful production of Västerås' Underground Studios, "Firedemon" is an album every, and really EVERY Thrash-maniac needs!
