One of the best Black Metal records of the last years is "Omega Telocvovim" of the Finnish ENOCHIAN CRESCENT. It's fabulous how much diversity and inventiveness are offered. Roughly said, you could categorize them as melodic Black Metal. Maybe a bit more grim than normally and without Gothic touch. Furthermore it's more various because I have rarely heard tempo changes, Doom parts, clean male vocals... on just one Black record. "Transversary" is a really outstanding track of ENOCHAIN CRESCENT. This song belongs to the finest, the Black scene has ever released. Evil but ingenious. But also the remaining tracks have their class. It's partly in Finnish and you get the imagination that this band also lives its image and are not parttime satanists. It's a real pleasure to listen to such a blasphemous music. And they are individual indeed!
The performance of front demon Drakkh Wrath is full of contempt, hatred and malice. Partially it sounds like a Black Metal version of Udo Dirkschneider! The well-executed production Tico-Tico production creates a mighty soundwall.
The record was released in 2000 but unfortunately it was totally overlooked. Nevertheless a secret tip! (Online July 25, 2003)
