As I Lay Dying - Frail Wounds Collapse
AS I LAY DYING are another band that combines Death/Thrash Metal of the Swedish kind in the style of AT THE GATES and THE HAUNTED with modern Hardcore. But here this Hardcore portion is a lot smaller than, for example, with CALIBAN, instead we get a good spoonful of IN FLAMES during their "The Jester Race" times.

So "Frail Words Collapse" convinces mainly through this mix of heavy and modern Thrash riffs and the melodic riffs and leads. Some passages also remind me of SHADOWS FALL and even SOILWORK. Who likes these new Thrash acts should risk an ear. I personally am not that much into this sterile sound - I'm old school…But the power is remarkable and basically we have good song writers here!
