Closterkeller - Graphite
She's a really hot chick, this frontlady Anja Orthodox of CLOSTERKELLER. A black fairy, one would like to lick her boots... CLOSTERKELLER is a band, which seems to be very prominent in the Polish Gothic scene! After all they have already released ten records. Okay, I don't believe that this band will have big success in our latitudes.

The sound is too unspectacular, the English of the singer is "expandable", even though her low voice has its charm. I think this would be much better in their mother tongue because you can't deny a decent pleasing atmosphere here. It's at least usable Dark Wave with heavy guitar riffs. A possible alternative could CLOSTERKELLER be for people with a dark-romantic vein.

And also recommandable for fans of bands like SIOUXIE AND THE BANSHEES, DIVA DESTRUCTION or THE BREATH OF LIFE! Partly pretty dark and magazines like Zillo or Gothic will love this band, surely. It's not too bad! (Online September 5, 2003)
