More Death Metal from the Olympic label (now purchased by Century Media) enters my mailbox. This band is from the same city as I am from, Chicago, and as long as I have known about this band I haven't heard a single lick from them. This is sheer extreme brutality that studies in the art of corroding your eardrums faster than you can say HOLY SHIT! This is old school Death Metal with the guttural/grinding vokills that will either excite you or bore you.
The usual shock matter of unholy titles such as "Murder Without End" and "Duct Taped And Raped" are here to please the masses if you are into that sort of thing. The musicianship is ultra tight, but doesn't really do much for me. I just want to know where they get all of this energy from to play this violent. I guess hatred and being volatile could be their fuel for the fire. Short, violent and painful is the path that they choose. Nothing new and shocking here. It has all been done before and at this point you either like this band or don't.
Most Death Metal fans have their favourites juts like anyone else and they will ultimately decide if this CD is worthy of being in their collection. If you like it rough with no lube and don't mind that there isn't any real slick production going on here, should have an orgasm upon picking this up. (Online October 22, 2003)
