MISTELTEIN is the latest in extreme Black Metal. "Thy Kingdom Cum" assaults your ears in the most brutal of ways. The shrieking vokills just make your ears go numb faster than you can try to turn off your CD player. The are some melodic keyboards to add to the mix, but the erratic drumming and guitar work just bury it.

When "Where Angels No More Roam" kick in on track two, things are still insane, but not to the point of the opener. It sort of falls along the lines of DIMMU BORGIR. The pacing is better and everything is presented a bit more clearly and not as erratic. Everything after that is listen able, but still takes you on a chaotic ride.

MISTELTEIN have made their point. Yes, they are extreme and they will settle for nothing less. God bless Satan! (Online June 13, 2003)
