THE CROWN again deliver us an absolute brilliant piece in Death Metal of the Swedish school. The boozers garnish it with massive Thrash influences and even True Metal riffs. This groove is much dithyrambical, so the appendant banging is nearly mandatory. They also have some Death'n'Roll to offer, everything is possible as long as quality is there... and it is there, definitively!
THE CROWN should establish themselves finally with this album because I can't think of any bad album in their band history. Thrash with class! Also to mention is the pretty cool cover with horror movie optics. This means no splatter or guts images but they adore the old honourable killer movies!
Songs like "Cold Is The Grave" are beating everything down or short, highly fast songs like "Morningstar Rising" belong to the best THE CROWN material ever. Surprising is the cool "Kill 'Em All", which really reminds of the old METALLICA, of course with much harsher vocals. One or two tracks are a bit predictable but still good banger stuff!
In conclusion: who doesn't grab it and describes itself as Death Metal fan, must be treated with deafness. (Online November 3, 2003)
