Holy Mother - Agoraphobia
This is terrible. It really is awful. Somewhere someone is happy that they made this turgid, expressionless old school Heavy Metal. It's not good. There's not a decent track on it. HOLY MOTHER sound like MÖTLEY CRÜE, TWISTED SISTER and SKID ROW done bad and they are yet another Metal band how just want to be the next JUDAS PRIEST. Their cover of SABBATH'S classic "Never Say Die" is a disgrace. Just why this track was recorded eludes me. Is it supposed to bolster a weak album? Well if that's their game then I am onto them. As not even a very poor cover of a classic can save them.

Devout of quality songs this is like having a hangover into the day after the day after. Laughable the inlay covers spouts forth that the guitars are tuned low in a TOOL sort of style. TOOL need not worry that HOLY MOTHER are going to steal their Prog Metal/Indie crown.

If you can survive this album then you're doing well but if you get past track two and decide to turn off and play say the new NEVERMORE album then you'll be doing yourself a big favour. So go on congratulate yourself for not picking up what can only be the year's worst offering thus far. (Online November 5, 2003)
