Harmful - Sanguine
Melodic intensity backed up with bludgeoning SABBATH inspired riffs and a vocalist that screeches and rasps is probably the best way to introduce HARMFUL. A band that is not ashamed to show off their Metal tendencies whilst straddling a decidedly Alternative Rock road.

HARMFUL occupy that no man's land of catchy, heavy tracks with melodic intrusions that are short and sweet and are on display long enough to rock out to. Tracks like "Charmed" with its heavy rolling stoner type riff and desperately strained vocals of Aren Emirze is a potential hit single. Add to that the crushing slabs of heavy weight riffs found in "No Matter" the simplicity of rockers like "1 Lifetime" and "I Remember You" all add up to an assured and positive release.

"Sanguine" is certainly not life affirming and is not 2003's best offering but this collection of driving, bombastic anthems is perfect for capturing raw, in your face Rock music. And personally you can't really knock that. (Online December 10, 2003)
