After many months of anticipation, MISERY INDEX has finally released their first full-length album. No more short EPs or splits teasers, this is the real deal, 35 minutes of non stop Death Grind bound to peel the paint off of your walls.
The only complaint that I can really think of is that Nuclear Blast spoiled them with their production budget and this comes off sounding a little bit more polished than their two split, or "Overthrow" which had the best production for MISERY INDEX's sound. Of course, it's not 'I-can-see-my-own-reflection" polished, it still has a gritty feeling, but really, how could it not?
Aside from that one complaint, I have nothing but praise for this album. Every track is stellar, everything is played flawlessly…basically, it's a great record. The guitars shred, Jason's vocals are killer, the drumming is phenomenal, overall it's…hold on, you know what? Forget this review, get up and just buy the damn CD. (Online January 3, 2004)
