South Tyrolia's best Black Metal/Gothic-act is back to show all the Blackhearts out there that this sound also can come out of the Alps. With the predecessor "As The Angels Reach The Beauty" the band could win a lot of new fans and who has seen GRAVEWORM live knows that their reputation as good live-band is more than deserved.
Now I have the new output in my player and the ultra-fat-production just blows me away. The opener "Unhallowed By The Infernal One" is a true high-flyer and has some direct connections to CRADLE OF FILTH, what I regard as a compliment here! And that is the only negativum of this very good album: GRAVEWORM are not original in the least! But their compositions still have a quite high level of quality. The most original of the bunch is the quite wilful interpretation of the IRON MAIDEN-cover "Fear Of The Dark".
Apart from that there is not much space for criticism here, it all sounds round and well-crafted! And if you look around at this genre and all the copy-cats, it's passion and dedication that counts and that is a bit plus of GRAVEWORM.
The cover again is from Luis Royo, whose works always show a connection between Fantasy, Science Fiction and Erotic, in that being perfect for Metal-bands.
