The current output of British BAL-SAGOTH again is in the old style. That means that there is no change to the other albums, the band is staying close to their roots and that is good. Their thundering Fantasy-epics have not lost a trace of their fascination in 2001.
Keyboard-sounds that somehow remind me of science-fiction-soundtracks and old monumental movies are dominating, while lyrically they are more taking the science-fiction-art of fantastic literature. I cannot say, if it again is a concept-album as I only have a promo without infos, but the most important thing for all BAL-SAGOTH-fans is that they haven't changed. You can get this one without second thought, where BAL-SAGOTH is printed on you will get BAL-SAGOTH and nothing but BAL-SAGOTH!
I have all their albums and am a dedicated fan and everybody, who doesn't know them yet and would like to listen to symphonic, slightly different Black Metal should check out one of their works. To die for!
