A certain Finnish band, which I will not name, seems to have set off a big wave in their home-country, because after THRONE OF CHAOS, KALMAH is the next representative of Melodic Death Metal with keyboard-support and harsh vocals.
Three members of ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW are with KALMAH, but I don't know, if they had any big impact on the song-writing, so I'll leave it at that.
Altogether they are shipping the same waters as this band, which I will not mention, but not as furious. Instead they are reducing the heaviness a little bit for the sake of more melody in tracks like "Dance Of The Water" and "Using The Word".
"Swamplord" isn't a weak album, but somehow they are a bit too near to the CHI... NO! I won't name them, no, no, no. So decide for yourself, if you are appealed or not...
