Lacuna Coil - Unleashed Memories
When I think back at the beginnings of LACUNA COIL, then they were "just another Gothic Metal-band with two vocalists". In the meantime they have reached their second full-length-album (plus two EPs) and clearly show that maturity and experience can work wonders sometimes, because "Unleashed Memories" has turned out to be a very good Gothic Metal-album indeed.

Cristina Scabbia as well as Andrea Ferro excel with their clear and powerful vocals (especially Cristina should be mentioned here), the music is atmospheric, but still retains enough heaviness to create a good balance.

"Heir Of A Dying Day", "When A Dead Man Walks" and "Wave Of Anguish" are quite impressive examples of the maturity LACUNA COIL have reached by now. In the wide field of Gothic Metal the six Italians have reached the first division by now and that is something not many bands achieve.
