Incredible how extreme these Austrians are assaulting the listener. As if there was no tomorrow they are bashing their instruments in a way that the crucifixes fall off the wall. This is the symphony of destruction, absolutely! Even though nobody will believe me, from the technical standpoint this album is top-notch. The drums sound like blasts from an MG and the merciless riffs must have been directly conceived of the Horned One himself.
The whole sound is ultra-brutal, the lyrics very provocative, derisive, pure blasphemy. I won't comment the tasteless song-titles, anybody must decide for himself, if his "Christian" belief accepts stuff like that. Still, who listens to the music of BELPHEGOR must have a black soul, or not?
The is in the very first category of brutality. The absolutely malevolent atmosphere is unique. Who manages to bang all the 35 minutes is beyond any rescue. Arrrgh!
