Ah yes, the weird Finns of ...AND OCEANS have docked at Century Media. But that doesn't meant hat they've gotten any softer, just more modern, because on their third longplayer they combine really heavy Black Metal with electro-elements.
And that works out surprisingly fine, not always, but in most cases. Especially the song "Tears Have No Name" could very well be the reason for full dance-floors. Of course not in a dance-disco, but in an alternative Wave-club, why not? Compared to similar acts like THE KOVENANT I still have to state that our Finnish friends have retained their blast-attacks and that's something I have a few problems with.
For furious Black there are too many electronics, for electronic music it's just plainly too brutal. So where do you want to go, guys? There are a few really good tracks on this CD, but it gets a little boring towards the end. The fact that the last track "New Model World" is a pure electro/tekkno-song doesn't come really surprising, eh? That song is really utter crap, but the rest still is worth 7 points, but nothing more!
