Madder Mortem - All Flesh Is Grass
This Norwegian band truly is something special. Their music is capturing, doomy and partly quite weird, too. What is absolutely exceptional are the eccentric vocals of Agnete, who also is responsible for all the lyrics. This woman has one of the most interesting voices in the whole music-world. But don't expect a frail angelic voice, like you get so often in Gothic, sure Agnete masters that, too, but she can do so much more.

The songs are very melancholic, so a bit Gothic-like. But for that you'll get an emotional roller-coaster-ride. No easy-listening! This CD grows, more and more with each repeated listen. Who generally likes bands like THE THIRD & THE MORTAL, LEFT HAND SOLUTION or older THE GATHERING, should hopefully also discover MADDER MORTEM. They deserve it!
