Dream Theater - When Dream And Day Unite

1989 - a year in which the Metal-world was shaken in its foundations...

One album, after which Heavy Metal has not been the same anymore...

Five young graduates of New York's music-high school, originally under the banner of MAJESTY, released an epos, which re-defined a new genre, almost re-invented it...

Moving on a technically very high level, the quintet created compositions, which were very complex, yet veined with accessible and catchy passages, which on the one hand made the jaws of many a musician drop to their feet, but still remained accessible enough so not to out a too great demand on the listener (OK, a certain open-mindedness for complex song-structures DOES help)...

Progressive Metal at its very best...

The album? "When Dream And Day Unite"...

The band? DREAM THEATER...
