Jarra - Test Of Faith
On "Test Of Faith" of American JARRA we get quite ok US-Metal with female vocals. No speed fodder, but rather earthy Hard Rock is the law here. The voice of front lady Kathy Jarra somehow sounds like a pleasant cross of Ann Boleyn (HELLION) and Lee Aaron.

The songs all are very melodic and have emotional depth. Especially the grandiose "Indian War Love Song (Deliver Me)" stands out. Apart from that we get quite average stuff, nothing outstanding, but if you like female fronted bands like HELLION, SAHARA or MALTEZE, JARRA is not a waste of money for you. Even though the cover in black and white with the band photo looks pretty unspectacular, don't let it deceive you! (Online June 10, 2003)
