Karma To Burn - Almost Heathen

A really strange offering is the second album of American formation KARMA TO BURN. Strange for one, because there are no titles, but numbers. Why ever!

Then they also have no vocalist, which means that we'll get an all-instrumental assault. The songs are pretty hard to categorise and should best hit the taste of friends of Stoner-Bands and Rockers like MONSTER MAGNET or KYUSS. I have to admit that the songs have some charm and are partly really good! The ideal CD for cruising through the desert. But we don't have any deserts in Germany and after a while the music gets a bit boring.

OK, maybe I'm not the right one to review KARMA TO BURN, but I think it's quite OK! The cover also is quite funny, the back-cover hilarious! You see the known VENOM-logo with the pentagram. But where normally is the goat, there is a sweet rabbit with a slip-knot around its neck! But I have got no clue what the hell this "Parental Advisory"-sticker is for, there is not one single word on the whole album! Is there already explicit music, which we should keep minors away from? Evil riffing, containing hidden messages, which will affect your sub-conscious when you listen to the riffs backwards?

Shit, most probably a commercial factor! CDs with stickers like these might sell more!
