Dark Age - Psychotic Side
From the distant Chile they come and offer a CD that I would not have expected, because from those countries you usually get ultra-brutal Death and Black Metal.

"Psychotic Side" from Santiago's DARK AGE however combines Death Metal, Thrash Metal, more modern sounds and many breaks into a progressive mixture, which is very difficult to be put into words.

The songs always show new facets in the Chilenes' sound, sometimes break-ridden with Death Metal-vocals, then as a hybrid between Death and Thrash ("Supreme Ignorance"), then straighter, more melodious ("Learn To Fall") or with modern vocals and slow-paced ("Void Grip"). Almost no song sounds like another and that is a compliment, because DARK AGE still manage to keep the flow of the record intact.

Everyone who likes heavy, varied and sometimes also quite demanding Metal, but are no stranger to heavier and more complex passages, should get what they search for with "Psychotic Side", also because the production is a really good one, clear and powerful.
