Mystery Blue - Brand New Demo
From what I know, MYSTERY BLUE is not a newcomer, but has a history from the Eighties, but that doesn't really matter, because this is a brand new demo from 2002, so I will only concentrate on these three tracks here.

The closest description that I could come up with would be Melodic Metal with female vocals. OK, the female vocals are rather obvious, but you get what I mean, hm? I do not know, how much of the original line-up and sound is still left, but MYSTERY BLUE anno 2002 are solid in their performance, if nothing that will really make you listen up, when you hear it in your player.

"Dark Visions" being more regularly paced Melodic Metal, "Roller Coaster Ride" is a lot more upbeat, with "Angel" returning to the pace of the opener. The problem is that it goes in one ear and leaves the other one just as quickly, nothing sticks, apart from the at times a little unusual voice of singer Nathalie that my ears do not quite get along with (I do not want to say that she is a weak singer in any way!).

So for a demo it is quite ok, but not more, for this a solid execution is not enough, when the songs are just average, sorry... (Online March 1, 2003)
